	This assignment is intended to demonstrate your understanding of the engineer&rsquo;s responsibilities during the completion and close out stage of a project and the processes you will carry out to achieve this. The assignment must cover the following and must be based on the Heritage project or on actual experience in your workplace. You must assume that the GCC 2010 form of contract is applicable:

	1.&nbsp;Explain the process of completion which takes place from the time when the contractor notifies you that he is ready for a practical completion inspection until the issue of the final approval certificate. You do not have to indicate timelines, but you must describe the consequences of each stage of completion as well as any payments that are due to the contractor at each stage. If you prefer, you may answer this question by submitting a flow diagram, provided that you produce the diagram yourself. Do not simply cut and paste or scan a flow diagram!

	2.&nbsp;Describe the timing and importance of the Final Contract Account.
