 Standard for Infrastructure Procurement Delivery Management (SIPDM) - Following the signing of an MOU with National Treasury in Nov 2015, CESA has received a letter from the Chief Procurement Officer, inter alia requesting an implementation framework. This will be developed under the auspices of the SCM Committee. &nbsp;
 Repeal of Sector Codes - Although the existing Sector Codes were repealed on 17 Feb 2016 by the Dti, the sector has been given until the end of March 2016 to make a proposal to the Dti on how alignment may be reached by the Sector on a proposal for a future Sector codes.
 2016 Annual Declaration&amp; subscription fees - A strict process is being implemented to collect all outstanding subscription fees from member firms as required by the CESA Constitution. 
 2016 CESA Practice Notes Seminar - Successfully held on 18 Feb 2016. YPF will hold own Practice Notes Seminar later in 2016. The Q&amp;RM Committee propose holding this Seminar annually.
 PAIA &amp; PAJA Training - Corruption Watch Workshop - Procuring Information and Justice - This Workshop also proved very successful and will be held in other centres. Watch this space

 ECSA exemption applications for FEE Guideline &amp; IDoEW - CESA is part of the Task Team established to amend the applications following their recent rejection by the Competitions Commission. First Task Team meeting is on 16 March 2016.
 ECSA Fees Committee - At next Committee meeting, CESA will raise issues of reverting to fee tables (from graphs), the problem of discounting (averaging 65%) and relatively low level of consulting engineering fees compared to other BEPs in multi-disciplinary projects.

 #PresidentialVisits - the 2016 Presidential Visits to the branches started on a high note in the Western Cape, 80 people were in attendance. The President Lynne Pretorius, accompanied by CEO Chris Campbell engaged the meeting under the theme &lsquo;Mapping a Sustainable Path for Consulting Engineers amid Growing Economic Challenges&rsquo;. Two important topics, namely Standard for Infrastructure Procurement and Delivery Management (SIPDM) and transformation, dominated the questions and answer session.
