 BBC Briefing by Minister Blade Nzimande on 7 June 2016 &ndash; The BBCBE invited CESA CEO to the Briefing as a stakeholder in the BBCBE-CESA Joint Initiative, formed to discuss the Ministerial Investigation of the CETA CEO with the CETA Chairman (Raymond Cele). Unfortunately the Minister declined to facilitate a meeting with Mr Cele who has consistently avoided meeting with the Joint Initiative.

 Construction Sector Charter Council (CSCC) &ndash; The Construction Sector parties have finally reached alignment on the scorecard for the industry. The scorecard and EME limits have been agreed and what remains to be finalised is the QSE scorecard and the wording in the code. If all goes according to plan, we could have a new Construction Sector Code as early as November 2016. A more detailed communication will be included in our next issue of Inside Track at the end of June 2016.

 Breaking News 
 Revised 2016 PPPFA Regulations issued for comment &ndash; Comment is due by 15 July to National Treasury however it would be appreciated if you would comment to CESA (<a href="mailto:wallym@cesa.co.za">wallym@cesa.co.za</a>) as soon as possible. The draft PPPFA Regulations are available at <a href="http://www.cesa.co.za/uploads/40067_gon719.pdf">http://www.cesa.co.za/uploads/40067_gon719.pdf</a>. Initial comment from one of our members is that &ldquo;Phew! There certainly are a few howlers in there! From a quick skim through, there are some big surprises. These regulations definitely require comments to be submitted, and hopefully a little integrity brought into the process. There are some dangerous provisions which can&rsquo;t be allowed to be included in the final version&rdquo;.
