	Student's Intranet portal, where all parties will be able to access 
	training material, assignments, activities, reference, and resource 
	documents (Electronic Library). 
	&nbsp; 
	All parties have a discreet password to access the Student's Intranet 
	portal. The students will be allocated a password at the start of the 
	programme and will be valid for the duration of the programme. 
	&nbsp; 
	The CESAnet will enable a Student to:
	<ul>
		<li>Access this Student Guide.</li>
		<li>Access their personal details and be able to update them as 
		necessary.</li>
		<li>Access the applicable Assignments and Activities to be completed 
		after each Online Session.</li>
		<li>Access the reading and learning resource library for Assignment 
		completion.</li>
		<li>Upload completed Assignments for assessment.</li>
		<li>Receive feedback on evaluated assignments and check a log of their 
		completed assignments.</li>
		<li>Be able to communicate with the Programme Convenors, Module 
		Convenors, and the student's BCE Mentor.</li>
		<li>Communicate with other Students enrolled on the programme.</li>

 Once you
 have successfully logged in, you will see the CESAnet control panel:

 see a snapshot of the modules you are going to study, with important links next
 to each. 
 
 On the left is the main CESAnet menu, which gives you access to

 functions within CESAnet.

 reading library provides you with access to important documents for you to

 resource centre contains an indexed list of useful and important website links.
 Click on a link to open it in a new browser window. 
 
 
 <li> Templates 
 
 Certain assignments require you to use templates, which you can download and
 print out here. Click on the template name to download it. 
 
 <li>Assignments

 Here you will find a list of assignments which are currently active /
 accessible by you. 
 
 Assignments are grouped by module. 
 
 Click on "Download Assignment Pack" to download all the current assignments for
 the module as a PDF document. 
 
 To view detailed information about the assignment, including objectives,
 assessment criteria and reading material, click on "View Assignment
 Information". 
 
 <li>Uploading a
 Completed Assignment 
 
 To submit
 your completed assignment, choose "Assignments" from the left
		hand menu sidebar. 
 
 Locate the assignment in the list of currently active assignments, and click on
 "Upload Your Assignment".

 Browse your local computer hard drive and select the documents (files) you are
 submitting. 
 
 You can add any comments you would like to convenor to be aware of in the box
 provided. 
 
 NB: Click "Submit" to send in your assignment.

 BCE Mentors and Subject Experts 
 
 Here you will find the contact information for important role players in the
 programme. You can also download CVs where available to learn more about the
 people involved. 
 
 <li>Messages 
 
 All electronic communication should take place through CESAnet. Here you can
 send and receive messages. 
 
 Use this facility to send a message to the convenor/s, and other students.

 You can select "All Convenors", "All Students", or choose a specific person
 from the list provided. 
 
 
 <li>Your Details 
 
 Review your own information, as provided by you on registration, and change
 your contact information if needed. 
 
 
 <li>Evaluation 
 
 An online evaluation (feedback) form will be made available at the end of 
	 each trimester for each student to complete.
 Please complete the evaluation (feedback) form so that we can improve our
 programme. 
 
 <li>Change Password 
 
 Use this
 option to choose your own password. 
 
 Please make sure your password is secure. It should: 
 
 Contain both letters and numbers. 
 Contain both upper and lowercase. 
 Contain a special character (e.g. #, !, $, % etc) 
 
 <li>Logout 
 
 For the safety of your own information, please logout when you are not using
 CESAnet, and particularly when you leave your computer unattended.
