 <a name="facilitator" id="facilitator"></a>FACILITATOR
 At
 the start of the programme each student will be assigned a Facilitator.
 The
 Facilitator assigned is a person with a high level of experience and
 qualification in the Consulting Engineering Industry.
 The Facilitator role is to:
 <ul>
 <li>Provide
 the student with support and guidance throughout the learning programme;</li>
 <li>Provide
 assistance and guidance with assignments and activities that are to be
 completed outside of the Contact Sessions in the workplace and as self
 learning;</li>
 <li>Build
 a relationship with the student in all matters concerning the agreement between
 the student, the workplace and CESA;</li>
 <li>Communicate
 with the student on the status of Assignment submission;</li>
 <li>Ensure
 that Assignments are evaluated and appropriate feedback is provided to the student
 via the CESAnet communication channels as outlined.</li>
 <li>Support
 learner&#8217;s requests and counselling adequately</li>
 </ul>
 Recommend
 the student on ways to put remedy to knowledge or behavioural weaknesses
 <a name="library" id="library"></a>READING AND
 LEARNING RESOURCE
 LIBRARY
 Assignments
 and Activities to be completed throughout the Learning Programme are supported
 by relevant reading and learning resource materials that have been compiled
 into a Library on the CESAnet.� Access to these resources is via a student
 password that is allocated to each person at the start of the programme.
 The
 Library is arranged in a &#8220;bookcase&#8221; on the CESAnet for each Module of the
 Learning Programme.� Where reading and learning resources are common to more
 than one Module, these are available in the &#8220;General Bookcase&#8221; on the CESAnet.
 How
 to access to the Library is explained under point 3 of this Section of the Student
 Guide.
 Where
 a student sources other learning resources that may be useful to all
 participants in the programme, they may have these uploaded on the CESAnet by
 contacting the Module Convenor.
 <a name="cesanet" id="cesanet"></a>THE CESAnet
 The CESAnet is an
 interactive Student Interface that manages the BCE Learning Programme for the Student
 and the Facilitator. Each Student and Facilitator has a discreet password to
 access the interface that is allocated upon enrolment for the duration of the
 programme.
 The CESAnet
 will enable a Student to:
 <ul>
 <li>Access
 this Student Guide;</li>
 <li>Access
 their personal details and be able to update them as necessary;</li>
 <li>Access
 the applicable Assignments and Activities to be completed after each Contact
 Session;</li>
 <li>Access
 the reading and learning resource library for Assignment completion;</li>
 <li>Upload
 completed Assignments for evaluation by their allocated Facilitator;</li>
 <li>Receive
 feedback on evaluated assignments and check a log of their completed
 assignments;</li>
 <li>Be
 able to communicate with their allocated Facilitator via e:mail</li>
 <li>Communicate with other Students
 enrolled on the programme;</li>

 assessment criteria and reading material, click on &#8220;View Assignment
 Information&#8221;. 
 
 8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Uploading a
 Completed Assignment 
 
 To submit
 your completed assignment, choose &#8220;Assignments&#8221; from the lefthand menu sidebar. 
 
 Locate the assignment in the list of currently active assignments, and click on
 &#8220;Upload Your Assignment&#8221;.

 Browse your local computer hard drive and select the documents (files) you are

 All electronic communication should take place through CESAnet. Here you can

 <a name="activities" id="activities"></a>16.&nbsp;&nbsp; ASSIGNMENTS AND ACTIVITIES
 Assignments and
 Activities for each Module are made available on the CESAnet.� 
 For ease of
 reference, this Student Guide provides a summary of the Assignments, Activities
 and applicable learning resources under Section C &#8211; The Learning Programme.
 Each summary of
 Assignments under Section C will give the submission date for the Assignment.
 The Facilitator
 will monitor Assignment submission, evaluation and feedback for each student
 and give support where necessary to the student for Assignment completion.
 Students are
 encouraged to adhere to the applicable clauses in the Code of Conduct for
 Assignment and Activities as these will be applied throughout the duration of
 this learning programme.� 
 Each Assignment or
 Activity to be completed is clearly described with the applicable learning
 objectives and assessment criteria pertaining to the Assignment.� Students are
 encouraged to read the requirements carefully and ensure that they have met the
 objectives as outlined.
