 <td>CESA&rsquo;s School of Consulting Engineering (SCE) provides a comprehensive training programme for the engineering industry with one of its aims that of developing future industry leaders. The SCE offers Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and South African Council for Project and Construction Management (SACPCMP) Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accredited, change driven training courses, seminars and workshops to enhance the business, professional and entrepreneurial skills of members and their public and private sector clients.
 The CESA SCE has a sophisticated training facility at our offices in Johannesburg and also offers countrywide training including customized in-house training. The focus is on teaching built environment practitioners the business and human side of engineering. To date the SCE has trained in excess of 15 000 individuals over the 10 years of its existence.
 &ldquo;At CESA we created our own School of Consulting Engineering (SCE) that aims to teach engineers &lsquo;The Business of Consulting Engineering&rsquo; by closing the gap through providing engineers with Business Skills that are not taught at University&rdquo;, states Chris Campbell, CESA CEO.
 In 2015 the SCE, in collaboration with a team of industry experts, developed a one-year intensive Management Development Programme aimed at training future leaders in the industry and many of these graduates have gone on to take up leadership roles in engineering companies.
 The creation of CESA&rsquo;s School of Consulting Engineering in 2000 has grown to become a global success story with the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) that represents consulting engineering companies across the globe, utilizing the South African SCE training school model as best practice.
 Campbell says, &ldquo;In the training sphere the CESA SCE brand recognition has become so strong that CESA has had to resort to protective measures to secure its identity from misuse by unscrupulous training providers&rdquo;.
