There is a major emphasis on Sub-contracting, making it almost unavoidable while ‘incorrectly structured’ tenders will be considered “unacceptable”. Heavy fines are now the rule, especially regarding incorrect sub-contracting procedures. The regulations can be viewed at <a href="http://www.cesa.co.za/uploads/PPPFA_2017_Regulations.pdf">http://www.cesa.co.za/uploads/PPPFA_2017_Regulations.pdf</a></p> <p>The <strong>CESA Bi-annual Economic & Capacity questionnaire for the period July – December 2016 </strong>has been forwarded to Mandated Principals and the deadline for submissions is the 24th February 2017. I would like to kindly request that as the Mandated Principal of your firm, you take steps to ensure that a completed form is submitted before or by the deadline. As an industry we attach high value to this report and as mentioned in the covering letter of the questionnaire, we cannot over-emphasise the importance of this survey to you, our CESA member firms and many other stakeholders related to our industry. The information from this report is used extensively as a basis for submissions to government and clients; the results of which reflect the state of our industry, are published in the press and related technical publications and earn valuable recognition of the Consulting Engineering industry. </p> <p><strong>Standard for Infrastructure Procurement & Delivery Management (SIPDM) – </strong>Currently the National Treasury- CESA Task Team is finalising the SIPDM multiple-choice online examination. The training course has been expanded to two days and accredited with two ECSA CPD points.
