I can report that I met with DWAF on the 13th February 2004 and liaison
is back on track as DWAF top management accepted our motivation for
continuation of liaison. DWAF would like to see SABTACO attending with
SAACE. We have previously extended invitations to SABTACO but they do
not respond. I would appreciate it if you could forward me their
committee contact details (if you have any) as I may have old contact
persons.
On Friday 13th (afternoon) we also met with Kalinga Pelpola (DWAF),
DPLG and SAICE to organise a symposium/workshop on the new MIG
(Municipal Infrastructure Grant) which has to be rolled out. This is
provisionally scheduled for 23 March 2004.
