<strong> The deadline for submissions is 31 July 2026.</strong></p>
<p>In the previous Survey, for the period July to December 2025, submissions were used in the sample to ensure consistency in the
results. CESA's current membership stands at over 600 firms. We have
revamped the look of the survey to make it a more user friendly, as well as
included a few more questions we feel will provide more benchmarking
information for member companies.</p>
<p><strong>Please note:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> You are reminded that the figures submitted should <strong>exclude VAT</strong>.</li>
<li> Data required under the item "income distribution per province" is in
respect of the geographic location of the project <strong><em>and not</em></strong> where your office
might be situated.</li>
<li> Gross fee income should include any foreign income for the period
but should exclude any payments to sub-consultants.</li>
<li> Please see the explanatory note on the economic sectors you are
required to report on (<strong>Annexure A</strong>). This is to simplify reporting and
assisting in compiling a more accurate return.</li>
<li> Please ensure information provided is accurate prior submitting
in order to alleviate errors and possible distortions in industry trends
and analysis. </li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Confidentiality of your return is
paramount<br></strong>We urge respondents to ensure that the unique identity
code appears at the top of the questionnaire as failure to do this will render
the response invalid since the data cannot be compared to previous data from
the same respondent and the data cannot be categorised and processed in terms
of firm size and other criteria etc. We are confident that the data analyst
producing our BECS report is a trustworthy person whose professionalism in
protecting the confidentiality of your information, is beyond reproach. There
is also a formal Confidentiality Agreement in place.</p>
<p>
<strong>Individual Firms' Benchmarking Reviews<br></strong>
The service enabling those firms which have responded to the survey over an extended period, to request an analysis of their response series
against the industry,
as part of their own benchmarking, is available at a cost of R35,000.00 excluding VAT, whereby you will be provided with an analysis of your
company's responses,
against the universal response of all the participants. Please send your request to Ann-Marie Kelly-Biassoni, ann-marie@cesa.co.za who will make the
necessary arrangements
with our Service Provider.
