<td><p>Nelson Mandela International Day is an annual international day in honour of Nelson Mandela, celebrated each year on 18 July, his birthday. The day was officially declared by the United Nations in November 2009, with the first UN Mandela Day held on 18 July 2010. In 2020, the day fell on a Saturday, presenting the CESA Young Professionals Forum with the opportunity to give back to society outside of normal working hours. Aimed at students and graduates, the ‘67 minutes of Engineering Mentorship’ event was held on video conferencing platform, Zoom. </p>
<p>Themed ‘Putting your best foot forward - positioning yourself for successful recruitment and career projection’, the webinar featured a great speaker lineup with everyone sharing their journey in their respective professions and giving guidance to attendees. Speakers included </p>

<li>Yankho Banda (AM Consulting Engineers), CESA Young Professionals Forum Chairperson</li>
<li>Jeshika Ramchund (PrEng) (Bosch Projects), CESA's Young Engineer of the Year 2019</li>
<li>Innocentia Mahlangu (PrEng) (Hatch), 2020 Finalist in the Accenture Rising Star Awards</li>
<li>Mevashnee Naidoo, Human Resources Director at Knight Piésold</li>
<li>Khethiwe Phakathi, Confidence Coach and Managing Director of Right Click Organizational Change and Personal Development.</li>
</ul>
<p>The students and graduates were afforded the opportunity to engage with industry professionals, learn how to craft an exceptional CV, shine in an interview and learn from the journey of future leaders.</p>
