      been set for the programme to provide students with a framework within which to
      conduct their personal and professional learning. The ground rules consist of:</span></p>

      resources are in place to provide students with adequate support mechanisms
      throughout the programme.� These include Subject Experts, Facilitators, Module
      Convenors, CESA staff and a Resource Library. How to access them is described

115%'>Welcome to the Business of Consulting Engineering (BCE) Certificate
      Programme</span></b></p>
    <p><b><span>This learning
      programme is a personal and professional development programme aimed mainly at
      young engineers that work in consulting engineering companies or in
      organisations where the principles of project delivery related to the built
      environment are well established.</span></b></p>
    <p><b><span>The overall objectives
      of this learning programme are:</span></b></p>

        engineering practitioners with a clear understanding of the consulting

    <p><span>This student Guide
    is provided to assist students to work through the Certificate Programme as
    efficiently as possible and to reach its conclusion with a complete and
    thorough Portfolio of Evidence, which is presented for evaluation by the CESA
    Education and Training Committee.</span></p>
    <p><span>Particular
    attention should be given to:</span></p>
    <p><span lang=EN-GB style='font-size:18.0pt;line-height:115%;
color:red'>a)</span><span> The session that
    deals with rules and regulations is specific about the expected conduct
    throughout the learning programme. At the end of the section there is a
    declaration to confirm that you are well aware of the content of this important
    section. Therefore, one of the first things you must do is read the section and
    then sign and date the declaration. Your declaration must be given to the SCE
    Administrator who will file it with your student records</span></p>
    <p><span lang=EN-GB style='font-size:16.0pt;line-height:115%;
color:red'>b)</span><span> The overall
    rollout of the programme: you should keep this at hand. It highlights the tools
    that you must use to achieving your final objective: each assignment (the index
    of Assignments is shown in Section C.4) has to be completed and uploaded in the
    CESAnet. Use the index in this Guideline to mark what you have done; your
    portfolio of evidence should be built progressively as the programme rolls out,
    however each element of your portfolio should be presented for evaluation and
    comment either by your Facilitator or by senior colleagues at work. </span></p>
